Today is National Hug a Newsman/Woman/Person Day. It's an annual observance to show appreciation to those who work hard to bring the news. It's unclear when and where the idea started; several sources say it was originated in 2009 by "Fox and Friends," but other sources say KRST-FM in Albuquerque conceived it in 2007.
