Where are the best places to eat in Appalachia? Visitors traveling through the region can now find each area's most distinctive eateries through an interactive map that includes about 650 destinations, says Visit Appalachia. "The Bon Appetit! Bon Appalachia! campaign is a project of the
Appalachian Regional Commission, a regional economic development
agency whose mission is to be a strategic partner and advocate for sustainable community and economic development in Appalachia." The map includes farmers markets, farm to fork restaurants, farm tours, festivals and events, vineyards and wineries and craft breweries and spirits. A printed map is also available that includes 282 locations. (Read more) To view the interactive map, click here.
