Another horse rescue faces charges as two groups aim to educate rescuers and donors

A New York equine rescue is the latest to face charges for "allegedly defrauding financial contributors and for allegedly maltreating several horses," Pat Raia of The Horse.com reports. This comes as the number of unwanted horses keeps rising. (Kentucky Horse Council photo)

For those interested in horse adoption or horse rescue, the federal Bureau of Land Management is hosting a free online chat with two veterinarians on this topic. The event will be Wednesday, Sept. 21 from 8 to 9 p.m. EST. After registering, participants can submit questions in advance, or they can ask questions during the live event. (Read more)
