Some rural areas are combating shortages of health professionals by interesting local young people in such work and encouraging them to bring their skills back to the community. This year, "Campers learned how to dress burns from a Casper College alumna . . . talked with a family practice doctor who grew up in Meeteetse," and visited the rehabilitation center at Banner Health Washakie Medical Center in Worland, Borchardt reports. While at the center, 14-year-old Justin Roussan (facing camera) placed a sling underneath Anthony Eibert, 13, with help from rehabilitation manager Roger Pomeroy. The three-day camp is free.
