Journalists can play a pivotal role in keeping their communities healthy by reporting on contaminated sites, but investigative reporting is often intimidating and resources for it often scant. A free webinar Wednesday, Aug. 2, is desigend to help.
"Covering Contaminated Sites in Your Community," from 1 to 2 p.m. ET, will feature investigative journalist and podcaster Jordan Gass-Pooré, who will provide tips on reporting on contaminated sites by incorporating local voices who have been affected by the pollution. The session presents expert views on how future extreme weather events fueled by climate change may threaten to further spread a pollution site if clean-up is not done.
This webinar, sponsored by the Society of Environmental Journalists, is free, and all journalists are welcome to attend. Registration includes name and email address only, here.
