Report for America, the national service program that places service-minded journalists and photographers in local newsrooms, is accepting applications for new corps members.
The application deadline is Feb. 3, with references due by Feb. 10. Apply here.
RFA is a two-year program, with an optional third year. Applicants need a minimum of 1 to 3 years of local news experience. Recent graduates may apply if they’ve had local newsroom internships or journalism leadership experience in college. The upcoming service year begins on July 7, and runs through July 6, 2026.
RFA corps members are part of a national movement to strengthen communities and democracy through truthful, fair local journalism. The program offers members a range of media placements, including digital startups, daily and weekly newspapers, and radio and TV stations.
