Agence France-Presse, an international news service based in Paris, has distributed a story about hydraulic fracturing in natural-gas drilling in the Marcellus Shale region of New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania and West Virginia.
The story by Veronique DuPont will add little to regular Rural Blog readers' knowledge of the subject, but is a good summary of concerns about the phenomenon and includes a good graphic diagram of it. Click on it for a larger version.
