The Appalachian Regional Commission will hold a webinar, "Appalachia’s dual pandemics: Substance Abuse and COVID 19" at 11 a.m. ET Wednesday, Aug. 26. Participants include Deputy Secretary of Health Preparedness and Community Protection Ray Barishansky of Pennsylvania; Julie Bolen, executive director of the Ross County Community Action Commission in Ohio; and Jennifer Gregory, executive director of Southern Tier East Regional Planning Development Board in New York. They will discuss how Appalachia is weathering the storm of having two pandemics to overcome. The conversation will be moderated by RecoveryOhio Director Alisha Nelson.
